About

Jennifer Halse is an accomplished creative director, multimedia producer and writer.  For more than 20 years, she has worked both nationally and internationally for top television networks and private clients to engage new audiences, tell impactful stories and define brands.  Her experience includes work created for the Olympics, the NBA, the NFL, tourism bureaus, HGTV, HOUZZ, fashion brands, nonprofits, hospitals and health systems, universities, film festivals, cooking shows, mobile apps, and everything from large companies like Target to startups and more.

Getting her start in the Bay Area, Jennifer produced locally for KPIX/CBS’s “Evening Magazine” and “Eye on the Bay.” She honed her writing, interviewing, and field production skills plus won her first Emmy Award for a show on renewable energy.

In 2006, she joined a NBC production team in Torino, Italy to produce feature stories for the Winter Olympics that aired internationally.

Working with an aerial team, she explored the state of Idaho for a historical Smithsonian Channel special.

Her appreciation for design and visual presentation was sharpened while overseeing seven seasons of Home & Garden Television (HGTV) shows from casting to conception to air in Washington, DC, Virigina, Maryland and Georgia.

Jennifer produced news stories for San Francisco’s Jefferson Awards, a national news series honoring community volunteerism.

During COVID-19, and a time of remote, Jennifer worked with her clients to create engagement. She directed influencer-created content from Taiwan, New York, and LA, delivering multiple sixty-second and thirty-second video moments, brand spots, and a half-hour program for air on CBS. She also won another Emmy Award for a half hour show she produced for NBC that looked back on the impact of COVID, voting, and civil rights activists. A video she directed for Earth Day 2020 and 2021 won a CASE award, leaning entirely on visuals, narration, music and pacing to create a meaningful piece that garnered impact on social media channels.

She is passionate about sharing the human side of supply chains. Working with both brands and nonprofits, Jennifer uses video, photography, and social media campaigns to address the human and environmental impact of supply chains. Notably, she found a way to make worker voices heard around the world, emphasizing the need for health, education and preservation of our delicate environment. Projects have been completed for Target, Hershey’s Chocolate, Dagoba Organic Chocolate, Goodweave, Ann Inc., and Levi Strauss & Co.

Sports content for the NBA, the NFL, the Olympics and Best Buddies have provided a lot of joy for Jennifer to produce as she is an outgoing, energetic person. She also can be seen interviewing on the red carpet, playing an active role in cooking segments, and styling behind the scenes.

A traveler by nature, Jennifer’s work has led her to India, remote villages in the Himalayas, China, Peru, Italy, Canada and across the United States, but she calls the San Francisco Bay Area home. Jennifer holds both American and Italian passports, which might be beneficial when considering travel/work visas.

Jennifer is sought out to direct, interview, storyboard, write scripts, create production scheduling and budgets plus oversee and hire crews to create multimedia content for clients from conception to "air." Jennifer works well taking on a leadership role where she is incorporated into an existing team or alternatively she gives clients the ease of handling everything completely independently out of house. Each project and approach is tailored.
